To make these Philly cheese steak sliders, I started by dumping some diced green peppers and diced yellow onions into a large saute pan over medium-high heat.

I stirred the onions and green peppers together well.

While the onions and peppers were cooking, I chopped up some sliced deli roast beef.

Once the onions were starting to brown, I added the chopped roast beef to the pan.

I stirred the roast beef, onions and peppers together well.

Then I added some water, brown gravy mix and pepper to the pan.

I stirred all of the ingredients together well and then removed the pan from the heat.

I sliced 12 dinner rolls in half and lay the bottoms on a non stick baking sheet.

I spread some mayo on the dinner rolls on the baking sheet.

I also spread some mayo on the cut side of the tops of the dinner rolls.

I scooped the roast beef mixture on to the dinner rolls on the baking sheet and spread it out evenly.

Then I sprinkled some shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese on top of the roast beef mixture.

I placed the top buns over the cheese.

Then I covered the sliders with foil.

I placed the baking sheet in the oven and baked the sliders, covered for 12 minutes.

While the sliders were in the oven, I melted some butter.

I added some garlic powder and onion powder to the melted butter.

I mixed the butter and seasonings together well.

After 12 minutes I removed the baking sheet from the oven.

I removed the foil from the sliders.

Then I brushed the seasoned melted butter on top of the buns.

I returned the sliders to the oven and baked them uncovered for 10 minutes.

I removed the pan from the oven and allowed the sliders to cool for a couple minutes.

Then the cheesy beef sandwiches were ready to serve.

Ingredients You'll Need to Make These Philly Cheese Steak Sliders:

  • 1 cup diced green peppers
  • 1 cup diced yellow onions
  • 10 oz deli sliced roast beef
  • ⅓ cup water
  • 0.87 oz brown gravy mix
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 12 dinner rolls
  • 4 tablespoon mayo
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese blend
  • 2 tablespoon butter, melted
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

How to Make Philly Cheese Steak Sliders:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Dump diced green peppers and yellow onions into a large saute pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Stir the green peppers and onions together well and leave them to cook.
  4. Chop the sliced roast beef into small squares.
  5. Once the onions are starting to brown, add the chopped roast beef to the pan and stir well.
  6. Add the water, gravy mix and pepper to the pan.
  7. Stir well and cook until no liquid remains in the pan.
  8. Remove the pan from the heat.
  9. Slice the dinner rolls in half.
  10. Place the bottoms of the rolls on a non stick baking sheet.
  11. Spread 2 tablespoon of mayo on the bottom rolls.
  12. Then spread the remaining 2 tablespoon of mayo on the cut side of the tops of the rolls.
  13. Spoon the roast beef mixture evenly over the bottom rolls.
  14. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the roast beef mixture.
  15. Place the tops of the rolls over the cheese.
  16. Cover the sliders with aluminum foil and place the baking sheet in the oven.
  17. Bake the sliders, covered for 12 minutes.
  18. While they are in the oven stir together the melted butter, garlic powder and onion powder.
  19. After 12 minutes, remove the sliders from the oven, take off the foil and brush the tops of the buns with the seasoned melted butter.
  20. Return the sliders to the oven to continue baking uncovered, until nicely browned on top. 8-10 minutes.
  21. Remove the sliders from the oven and allow them to cool for a couple minutes.
