To make these mac and cheese sloppy joes, I started by cooking some macaroni noodles according to the directions on the package.
Once the macaroni was cooked I drained it in a colander and set it aside.
While the macaroni was cooking, I dumped some lean ground beef into a large saute pan over medium-high heat.
I crumbled the ground beef well as it cooked.
I added some diced onions to the pan with the ground beef while it was cooking.
I stirred the ground beef and onions together well.
Once the ground beef was fully cooked, I drained the grease from the pan.
Then I added some ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder and brown sugar to a medium mixing bowl.
I stirred until all of the ingredients were fully combined.
Then I added the sauce to the pan with the ground beef.
I stirred until all of the ground beef was coated in the sauce and then reduced the heat to low.
I poured some condensed cheddar soup, heavy cream, salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder into a large pot over medium heat.
I whisked all of the ingredients together until smooth.
I added the cooked macaroni noodles to the pot.
Then I stirred until all of the noodles were coated in the soup mixture.
Once the sauce started to bubble I reduced the heat to low.
I added some shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese to the pot.
I stirred until the cheese was melted.
Then I lay four large hamburger buns in a single layer on a baking sheet.
I placed the baking sheet in the oven and toasted the buns.
Once the buns were toasted I removed them from the oven.
I spooned the ground beef mixture onto the bottom buns.
Then I spooned some mac and cheese on top of the ground beef.
I placed the top buns on the mac and cheese and then the sloppy joes were ready to serve.
These hearty sloppy joes are the perfect comfort food.

Yes, you can use half and half. Your sauce just won't be quite as thick.
