To make this pineapple cake, I started by greasing a 9 x 13 inch baking dish well.

Then I poured some canned crushed pineapple and pineapple tidbits into the baking dish.

I added some vanilla extract and sprinkled some brown sugar over the top of the pineapple.

I poured some boxed white cake mix on top, spreading it out as evenly as possible.

I placed some butter slices on top of the cake mix, spacing them out evenly.

I placed the dish in the oven and baked it until the top of the cake was nice and golden.

I removed the cake from the oven and allowed it to rest for a few minutes.

Then the pineapple cake was ready to serve.

I served my cake with some vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients You’ll Need to Make This Pineapple Dump Cake:

• 1 can (20 oz.) crushed pineapple, undrained
• 1 can (20 oz.) pineapple tidbits (reserve ½ cup of juice)
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• ½ cup light brown sugar
• 1 box (16.25 oz) white cake mix
• ½ cup cold butter, sliced into thin squares

How to Make This Pineapple Dump Cake:

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
2. Oil or butter a baking dish 9 x 13 pan.
3. Pour the crushed and pineapple tidbits onto the baking dish.
4. Add ½ cup of the reserved juice from the pineapple tidbits can.
5. Add the vanilla extract and sprinkle the brown sugar evenly on top of the pineapple.
6. Pour the cake mix on top of the pineapple as evenly as possible. Use a fork or an offset spatula to help even it out.
7. Place the butter slices on top of the cake mixture.
8. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the top is nice and golden.
9. Serve and enjoy!
