  • 1 can (20 oz.) pineapple tidbits (reserve ½ cup of juice)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • 1 box (16.25 oz) white cake mix
  • ½ cup cold butter, sliced into thin squares

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
  2. Oil or butter a baking dish 9 x 13 pan.
  3. Pour the crushed and pineapple tidbits onto the baking dish.

  6. Pour the cake mix on top of the pineapple as evenly as possible. Use a fork or an offset spatula to help even it out.
