STEP 1:
To make this meatloaf, I started by dumping some ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar and onion powder into a mixing bowl.
I stirred all of the ingredients together well and set the bowl aside.
STEP 2:
I dumped two pounds of lean ground beef into a large mixing bowl.
Then I added some eggs and Italian seasoned bread crumbs to the bowl.
STEP 3:
I also added some diced onions and 1/3 cup of the prepared glaze to the bowl, along with some salt and pepper.
I used my hands to mix all of ingredients together well.
STEP 4:
I placed the meat mixture on a parchment lined baking sheet.
I used my hands to shape the meat into a loaf.
Then I brushed half of the remaining ketchup glaze on the meatloaf.
STEP 5:
I covered the meatloaf with overlapping strips of bacon.
Then I tucked the ends of the bacon strips under the meatloaf.
STEP 6:
I placed the baking sheet in the oven and baked the meatloaf for forty minutes.
After forty minutes I removed the baking sheet from the oven.
I brushed the remaining glaze over the bacon.
STEP 7:
I returned the baking sheet to the oven and continued cooking the meatloaf until it reached an internal temperature of 160F.
I removed the baking sheet from the oven and allowed the meatloaf to rest for five minutes before slicing.
STEP 8:
After five minutes I sliced the meatloaf.
I served my meatloaf with some instant mashed potatoes for a quick and easy side dish.

How should I store Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf?

Ingredients
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 2 lbs lean ground beef
- 3 eggs, large
- 1 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
- 1 cup diced yellow onions
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 12 slices bacon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Dump ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar and onion powder into a mixing bowl.
- Stir well and set bowl aside.
- Dump the ground beef into a large mixing bowl.
- Add the eggs, bread crumbs, diced onions, salt and pepper to the bowl with the ground beef.
- Also add 1/3 cup of the the prepared ketchup glaze to the bowl.
- Use your hands to combine all of the ingredients well.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place the ground beef mixture on the parchment lined baking sheet.
- Use your hands to form the meat into a loaf shape.
- Brush half of the remaining ketchup glaze on the meatloaf.
- Cover the meatloaf with the bacon strips, overlapping them.
- Tuck the ends of the bacon strips under the meatloaf.
- Place the baking sheet in the oven and cook the meatloaf for 40 minutes.
- After 40 minutes remove the meatloaf from the oven and brush the remaining ketchup glaze on top of the bacon strips.
- Return the meatloaf to the oven and continue baking until it reaches an internal temperature of 160F. About 25 minutes.
- Remove the meatloaf from the oven and allow it to rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Serve and enjoy!
