I stirred the diced green peppers into the diced onions and sliced mushrooms.
Then I added some all purpose flour to the pan.
I stirred well.
I continued cooking the flour and vegetable mixture for four minutes, stirring occasionally.
Then I added some chicken broth to the pan.
I stirred until the broth and flour formed a thick mixture.
Then I added some heavy cream to the pan.
I stirred until the cream was combined with the broth mixture.
Then I reduced the heat to low and added some onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper to the pan.
I stirred well again.
Then I added some diced pimentos and shredded rotisserie chicken to the pan.
I stirred the pimentos and chicken into the creamy sauce.
Then the chicken a la king was ready to serve.
I chose to serve my chicken a la king over Pillsbury biscuits but you could also serve it over pasta or rice.
I placed the Pillsbury biscuits on plates.
