To make this pecan pie, I started by placing a store bought crust into a 9 inch pie plate.
Then I dumped some light corn syrup and brown sugar into a large mixing bowl.
I added three large eggs to the bowl.
I stirred until the eggs were well beaten.
I added some melted butter, vanilla extract and salt to the bowl and stirred well again.
Then I added some pecan halves and semi sweet chocolate chips to the bowl.
I stirred all of the ingredients together well.
Then I poured the mixture into the pie crust.
I placed the pie in the oven and baked it until it was nicely browned and set in the middle.
Then I removed the pie from the oven and allowed it to cool.
When the pie was still slightly warm but not hot, I sliced and served it.
This chocolate pecan pie is delicious with a scoop of ice cream or some whipped cream.
