To make this orange pie, I started by baking a store bought pie crust for fifteen minutes.

I set the pie crust aside to cool slightly while I prepared the filling.

I poured a can of sweetened condensed milk and five egg yolks into a large mixing bowl.

I whisked until the egg yolks were all beaten.

Then I added some orange juice concentrate, lime juice and orange zest to the bowl.

I whisked until all of the ingredients were fully combined.

Then I poured the mixture into the pie crust.

I placed the pie in the oven and baked it until the center was set but slightly jiggly.

Then I removed the pie from the oven.

I allowed the pie to cool slightly on the counter.

Then I placed it in the refrigerator to chill for three hours.

After three hours I removed the pie from the fridge.

I topped my pie with some aerosol whipped cream and orange slices.

Ingredients You’ll Need to Make This Orange Pie:

  • 9-inch store bought pie crust
  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 5 egg yolks, large
  • 1/2 cup frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 1 tsp orange zest

Topping

How to Make Orange Pie:

  1. Preheat oven to 325F.
  2. Bake pie crust for 15 minutes.
  3. Set the pie crust aside to cool slightly while you prepare the filling.
  4. Pour the sweetened condensed milk and egg yolks into a large mixing bowl.
  5. Whisk until the egg yolks are all beaten.
  6. Add the orange juice concentrate, lime juice and orange zest to the bowl.
  7. Whisk until all of the ingredients are fully combined.
  8. Pour the mixture into the pie crust.
  9. Place the pie in the oven and bake at 325F until the filling is set in the center but slightly jiggly. 16 – 18 minutes.
  10. Remove the pie from the oven and allow it to cool slightly.
  11. Once the pie has cooled slightly, place it in the refrigerator to chill for at least 3 hours.
  12. Remove the pie from the refrigerator and top with whipped cream and orange slices.
  13. Serve and enjoy!
