I added the dry mixture to the wet mixture in small increments, mixing well in between each one.

I placed the dough in the refrigerator to chill for thirty minutes.

I rolled the chilled dough out on a floured surface until it was 1/4 inch thick.

I placed the cookies on a parchment lined baking sheet.

I baked the cookies until the edges were slightly golden.

I allowed the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a couple minutes and then transferred them to a cooling rack.

Ingredients You’ll Need to Make These Chocolate Chip Sugar Cookies:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) salted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 ½ cups unbleached all-purpose flour

  6. Chill the dough for 30 to 45 minutes, but no more than 2 days.
  7. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  8. Prepare a baking sheet and line it with a parchment paper or silicone mat.
  9. On a working surface, I like to use a baking mat and put 1 to 2 tablespoons of flour.
  10. Roll the dough, ¼ inch thick. Use a cookie cutter and cut it into pieces.
  11. Place the cut cookies on the prepared cookie sheet, leaving 1 inch in between each cookie.
  12. Bake in the preheated oven for 9-11 minutes or until the edges are slightly golden and the middle is set. Don’t overbake.
  13. Let the cookies cool on the cookie sheet for 1 to 2 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.
  14. Allow to cool then serve and enjoy!
