To make this stove top dinner, I started by peeling and dicing some carrots.
I also diced some celery and onions.
Then I poured some olive oil into a large skillet over medium-high heat.
I dumped a pound of lean ground turkey into the skillet.
I added the diced carrots, celery and onions to the skillet.
I crumbled the ground turkey well as it cooked.
Once the ground turkey was fully cooked, I added some chicken broth the pan.
Then I added a brown and wild rice blend to the pan.
I pushed the rice around until it was all submerged in the liquid.
Then I brought the liquid to a boil.
Once the liquid was boiling, I placed a lid on the skillet and reduced the heat to medium-low.
I left the rice to cook, stirring occasionally, for 35 minutes.
After 35 minutes, I removed the lid from the pan and stirred the rice well.
I added some soy sauce to the pan.
I stirred the soy sauce into the rice mixture.
Then I added some butter to the pan.
I stirred until the butter was melted.
Then I sprinkled some chopped chives on top of the dish right before serving.
This one pot dinner is a delicious way to enjoy ground turkey.
