To make this meatloaf, I started by dumping two pounds of lean ground beef into a large mixing bowl.

I added a package of Stove Top stuffing mix, three eggs, diced onion, mustard and Worcestershire sauce to the bowl.

I used my hands to mix all of the ingredients together until they were well combined.

Then I lined a loaf pan with aluminum foil and sprayed it with cooking spray.

I pressed the meat mixture into the loaf pan.

Then I placed the pan in the oven and left the meatloaf to bake.

When the meatloaf had been in the oven for about forty minutes, I began to prepare the gravy.

I started by dumping some butter into a medium saucepan over medium-high heat.

Once the butter was completely melted I added some all purpose flour to the pot.

I stirred until the butter and flour were completely combined.

I continued cooking the mixture for a few minutes until it was just starting to brown.

Then I added some beef broth to the pot and whisked until smooth.

I brought the liquid to a boil, added some salt and pepper to the pot, whisked well again and then removed the pot from the heat.

When the meatloaf had reached an internal temperature of 160F, I removed the pan from the oven and allowed the meatloaf to rest for about five minutes in the pan.

After five minutes, I used the foil to lift the meatloaf out of the pan.

Then I sliced the meatloaf.

I poured the gravy over the meatloaf right before serving.

Ingredients You’ll Need to Make Meatloaf with Gravy:

  • 2 lbs lean ground beef

  • 1/4 cup butter

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Dump ground beef, Stove Top stuffing mix, eggs, diced onions, mustard and Worcestershire sauce into a large mixing bowl.
  3. Use your hands to mix the ingredients together until fully combined.
  4. Line a loaf pan with aluminum foil and spray it with cooking spray.
  5. Press the meat mixture into the loaf pan.
  6. Place the loaf pan in the oven and bake the meatloaf until it reaches an internal temperature of 160F. About 50-55 minutes.
  7. When the meatloaf has been in the oven for 40 minutes, start to prepare your gravy.
  8. Dump the butter into a medium sauce pan over medium-high heat.
  9. Once the butter is completely melted, add the flour to the pot.
  10. Stir until the butter and flour are fully combined.
  11. Leave the mixture to continue cooking for a few minutes until it just starts to brown slightly.
  12. Add the beef stock to the pot and whisk until smooth.
  13. Bring the liquid to a boil, add the salt and pepper, whisk well and then remove from the heat.
  14. When the meatloaf is done cooking, remove it from the oven and allow it to rest in the pan for 5 minutes.
  15. After 5 minutes, use the foil to lift the meatloaf out of the pan.
  16. Slice the meatloaf and serve with gravy.
