To make this pasta casserole, I started by cooking some spaghetti noodles according to the directions on the package.
Then I drained the pasta and set it aside.
While the spaghetti was cooking, I dumped some lean ground beef into a large skillet over medium-high heat.
I crumbled the ground beef well as it cooked.
Once the ground beef was fully cooked, I drained the grease from the pan.
Then I added some marinara sauce to the skillet.
I also added some Italian seasoning to the skillet.
I stirred well.
I added the cooked spaghetti to the skillet.
I stirred until the spaghetti was coated in sauce.
Then I removed the skillet from the heat and set it aside.
I dumped some ricotta into a mixing bowl.
I added some sour cream and Italian seasoning to the bowl.
I stirred the ingredients together well.
Then I added some shredded mozzarella and parmesan cheese to the bowl.
I stirred well again.
Then I scooped about two thirds of the spaghetti mixture into a greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.
I spooned the ricotta mixture on top of the spaghetti and spread it out evenly.
The I dumped the remainder of the spaghetti mixture on top and spread it out evenly.
I sprinkled some shredded mozzarella on top of the spaghetti.
Then I placed the dish in the oven and baked the casserole until it was bubbling and the cheese on top was just starting to brown.
I removed the casserole from the oven and left it to sit for a few minutes.
I sprinkled some fresh chopped parsley on top of the casserole.
Then the spaghetti casserole was ready to scoop and serve.

- 1 cup sour cream

- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Cook spaghetti according directions on the package.

- Add the marinara and 1 tablespoon of the Italian seasoning to the pan with the ground beef and stir well.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the pan and stir well again.
- Remove the pan from the heat and set aside.
- Dump the ricotta, sour cream and remaining 2 tablespoons of Italian seasoning into a mixing bowl and stir well.
- Add 1 1/2 cups of the shredded mozzarella and all of the parmesan to the mixing bowl and stir well again.
