STEP 1:
To make this taco bake, I started by dumping some lean ground beef into a large skillet over medium-high heat.
I added some diced yellow onions to the pan with the ground beef.
STEP 2:
I crumbled the ground beef well as it cooked.
Once the ground beef was fully cooked, I drained the grease from the pan.
STEP 3:
Then I added an undrained can of Rotel and a packet of taco seasoning to the pan.
I stirred until all of the ground beef was coated in taco seasoning.
STEP 4:
I cooked the ground beef and Rotel mixture for a few minutes, until no liquid remained in the pan.
Then I removed the pan from the heat and set it aside.
STEP 5:
I sprayed a 16-inch round baking sheet with cooking spray.
Then I opened two packages of Pillsbury crescent rolls and separated all sixteen triangles of dough.
Then I arranged the triangles in a circle with the wide ends overlapping in the center and the points extending to the outside of the pan.
I left a 5 inch opening in the center of the ring.
STEP 6:
I added some shredded Mexican cheese blend to the pan with the ground beef mixture.
Then I stirred the cheese into the meat.
STEP 7:
I scooped the meat mixture in a circle on top of the wide ends of the crescent rolls.
Then I sprinkled some more shredded cheese on top of the meat.
STEP 8:
I brought the points of the triangles up over the meat and tucked them under the dough in the center to form a ring.
STEP 9:
I placed the pan in the oven and baked the taco ring until the crescent rolls were golden brown.
Then I removed the pan from the oven.
I placed a bowl in the center of the ring with some shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes and sour cream.
You can serve your crescent ring with your favourite taco toppings.
