To make this hamburger pie, I started by spraying a 9 inch pie plate well with cooking spray.
I placed one store bought deep dish pie crust in the greased pie plate and set it aside.
Then I dumped some lean ground beef into a large skillet over medium-high heat.
I added some diced onions to the skillet with the ground beef.
I crumbled the ground beef well as it cooked.
Once the ground beef was fully cooked, I drained the grease from the skillet.
Then I added some frozen diced hash brown potatoes.
I also added some frozen mixed veggies.
I stirred all of the ingredients together well and continued cooking for about 3 minutes.
Then I added a can of cream of mushroom soup to the skillet.
I stirred well.
I added some salt and pepper.
I stirred well again.
Then I scooped the ground beef mixture into the prepared pie crust.
I placed another store bought pie crust on top and pressed the edges together.
I cut some slits in the top of the pie crust.
I placed the dish in the oven and baked the pie until it was nicely browned.
I removed the beef pot pie from the oven and allowed it to rest for a few minutes.
Then the ground beef pie was ready to slice and serve.
This hamburger meat dish has a moist and flavourful filling and flaky crust.
