To make these chocolate peanut butter cookies, I started by pouring some peanut butter cookie mix and cocoa powder into a mixing bowl.
I whisked them together.
I added an egg and some melted butter to the bowl.
I used an electric mixer to combine all the ingredients together until a smooth dough formed.
I used a one and a half tablespoon cookie scoop to scoop the dough and formed it into balls.
I placed the dough balls 2 inches apart on a parchment lined baking sheet.
Then I used a fork to gently push a crisscross pattern into the cookies.
I sprinkled some sugar on top of the cookies.
I placed the baking sheet in the oven and baked the cookies until the edges were set.
Then I removed the baking sheet from the oven and allowed the cookies to cool for five minutes on the pan.
After five minutes I transferred the cookies to a wire rack to finish cooling.
Then the chocolate peanut butter cookies were ready to serve.
