To make these sloppy joes, I started by dumping a pound of ground chicken into a large saute pan over medium-high heat.

I added some diced onions to the pan with the ground chicken.

I crumbled the ground chicken well as it cooked.

Once the ground chicken was fully cooked, I added some butter to the pan and reduced the heat to medium.

Once the butter was melted, I added some garlic puree and minced ginger to the pan.

I stirred well and allowed the garlic and ginger to cook for a few minutes.

Then I added some tomato sauce to the pan.

Then I added some heavy cream to the pan.

Then I added some garam masala seasoning, chili powder, salt and cumin to the pan.

I stirred until all of the spices were mixed into the sauce.

I left the butter chicken to simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce had thickened.

After the butter chicken had simmered for fifteen minutes and the sauce was nice and thick, I reduced the heat to low.

Then I placed four Brioche buns in a single layer on a baking sheet.

I placed the baking sheet in the oven and toasted the buns for four minutes.

Then I removed the baking sheet from the oven.

I stirred the butter chicken mixture well one last time.

  11. Stir well and then leave to simmer over medium-heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is nice and thick. About 15 minutes.
