To make this caramel pecan pie, I started by dropping some butter into a medium saucepan over low heat.

I added some milk to the pot.

Then I added some Kraft caramels to the pot.

I stirred all of the ingredients together well.

I left the caramels to melt, stirring frequently.

Once the caramels were completely melted, I removed the saucepan from the heat and set it aside.

Then I dumped some granulated sugar into a large mixing bowl.

I added some eggs, vanilla extract and salt to the bowl.

I stirred all of the ingredients together well.

Then I slowly poured the caramel mixture into the bowl while stirring.

I added some pecan halves to the bowl.

I stirred just until the pecans were coated with the filling.

Then I poured the mixture into a 9 inch store bought pie crust.

I placed the pie in the oven and baked it until it was nicely browned and set in the middle.

Then I removed the pie from the oven and left it to cool.

  • 1/4 cup butter

  7. Once the caramels are completely melted, remove the pot from the heat and set aside.

  11. Slowly pour the melted caramel mixture into the bowl while stirring continuously.
  12. Add the pecan halves to the bowl.
  13. Stir just until the pecans are coated in the filling mixture.
  14. Pour the mixture into a store bought pie crust.
  15. Place the pie in the oven and bake until it is nicely browned and set in the middle. 50 – 55 minutes.
  16. Remove the pie from the oven and leave it to cool.
  17. Serve the pie when it is still slightly warm.
