To make this caramel pecan pie, I started by dropping some butter into a medium saucepan over low heat.

I added some milk to the pot.

Then I added some Kraft caramels to the pot.

I stirred all of the ingredients together well.

I left the caramels to melt, stirring frequently.

Once the caramels were completely melted, I removed the saucepan from the heat and set it aside.

Then I dumped some granulated sugar into a large mixing bowl.

I added some eggs, vanilla extract and salt to the bowl.

I stirred all of the ingredients together well.

Then I slowly poured the caramel mixture into the bowl while stirring.

I added some pecan halves to the bowl.

I stirred just until the pecans were coated with the filling.

Then I poured the mixture into a 9 inch store bought pie crust.

I placed the pie in the oven and baked it until it was nicely browned and set in the middle.

Then I removed the pie from the oven and left it to cool.
